I have over 10 years personal training experience working with people that want to improve their general health and fitness, drop body fat and build muscle and strength. I’ve worked with novice to professional athletes competing in a variety of different sports such as first time marathon runners, triathletes, fencers and swimmers focusing on building strength to improve their overall performance. I also use my knowledge as a past professional athlete in swimming to help guide those that want to take their training to another level.
I believe training the mind is just as important as training the body. Awareness of our current reality is a great place to start. Then through a structured planning approach, replacing unwanted habits and regular goal monitoring, we’re more likely to get where we want to be.
I think it’s important to choose a program you mostly enjoy to achieve sustainable results. However, I recommend an element of strength training in every program as muscle is something we need if we want to take care of ourselves and ultimately increase resilience in the game of life.
