We are looking for a motivated Marketing Manager to join our team full time focusing on marketing our Newstead Hub, as well as the growth of our group moving forward as we have some exciting projects in the pipeline!


  • Direct and manage all company marketing (including SEM and Facebook ads – managed externally)
  • Campaign design and execution
  • Responsible for all internal and external collateral
  • Manage leads and marketing budgets
  • Generate demand for the Function Well product
  • Grow the Function Well brand through brand awareness and external initiatives
  • B2B with like-minded businesses
  • Promotion and execution of community events
  • Create, innovate, evaluate and optimise marketing strategies based on company values and KPI’s.


You will create campaigns, branding and marketing strategies managing all components from creation to execution.

Your role encompasses management of all in-house and external channels that focus on fostering our community, brand, lead generation, retention, social media, PR, content creation, events, outreach and digital marketing management

You will be required to have initiative and a desire to constantly innovate our offering, conducting market research, identifying marketing opportunities, creating strategies and plans to grow the business in line with the company goals and values.

Function Well is more than just a gym, we are very focused on building long lasting relationships and creating memorable experiences for our members. Events and programs are at the cornerstone of what we do and an integral part of your role, having a passion for fitness is paramount

You will be a confident communicator with a positive attitude to delivering quality work in a fast-paced fitness & wellness environment. You will have proven experience at handling multiple projects in an efficient manner and with a high attention to detail.

This position is suitable for an ambitious, up and coming marketing professional who wishes to build a career in a small but growing company. Our work environment is informal, collaborative and action-oriented.


These items will make sure you’re the right fit for the role:

  • At least 2-4 years marketing experience.
  • Marketing, communications degree or relevant field
  • Exceptional analytical and project management skills
  • A passion for strategic brand management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM, Facebook/Instagram, web analytics and Google AdWords
  • Experience with email marketing software – campaign creation and reporting on insights and results.
  • Experience in website management and digital sale funnel platforms
  • Enjoy and excel in copy writing
  • Autonomous and self-motivated but enjoy being part of a team environment.
  • A high performer with a positive can-do attitude
  • Superior organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail, systems orientated and love things being organised.
  • Proficient in Adobe creative suite
  • Ability to design marketing and promotional materials using tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Understand and believe in the Function Well philosophy
