What is EST training?
Energy System Training sessions are carefully programmed workouts designed to target specific energy systems.
Varying from sustained aerobic efforts, max effort sprint intervals and everything in between, EST utilises specialty cardio equipment to train your cardiorespiratory system across different time and interval domains to increase your capacity across all energy systems.

Why We Alternate MetCon and EST.
Both EST and Metcon classes (high intensity, utilising weights) take place in our HIT studio, on alternate days. Alternating MetCon and EST gives your muscles and nervous system the chance to recover, adapt, and come back stronger. MetCon builds an unrivalled all-round level of fitness and strength, while EST boosts cardiovascular endurance in a joint-friendly way. Together they create a well-rounded program that keeps you progressing without burnout.

What Are The Benefits of EST?
It’s Efficient
If your goal is to squeeze in a workout that will give you the best results in the shortest time possible, then an EST class is the workout for you. Go all-out for short durations, then recover and repeat.
Burn Fat Faster
Thanks to excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) after an EST workout your oxygen consumption has increased in such a way that you burn fat 9x faster. EST workouts boost your metabolism and you can burn up to 50% more fat than a regular steady-state cardio workout.
