Rach Toomua Faumuina

Head CrossFit Coach

I grew up in Brisbane and have always been involved in sports and dance. I played sport all through highschool and then spent a few years post high school living in Hawaii and travelling the US, Canada, Singapore and Polynesian Islands with a Polynesian Dance Group. That’s where my love for movement and fitness started (once I realised that after school, keeping fit is pretty much up to you!) Since then, I’ve discovered CrossFit and haven’t looked back!

I have been working in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Group Coach for over 10 years. I have always had a love for sports, and after tearing my ACL in a Rugby Sevens game, I decided I wanted to try CrossFit.

Crossfit is fun, challenging and it rewards those with no egos. It’s a space for everyone to play again and a place where people achieve things they didn’t think they could. How good is that!!

I have a huge passion for competing in both CrossFit and Weightlifting. I’ve competed at State and Nationals levels for Weightlifting, as well as qualifying for teams in Regionals/Sanctionals and as an Individual for the Torian Pro. I believe my competition experience helps me coach beginners through to those wanting to compete – because I’ve been both!

  • Philosophy

I know stepping into any gym for the first time can be daunting, let alone a CrossFit gym. I want members to feel welcome and to know that we were all beginners once too.

I believe everyone’s goals are important. Whether your goal is to do your first pull up, regain strength post injury/pregnancy, compete at a local or national level, or just come in and have fun – all of these are important and our goal as coaches is to listen, and then help you achieve them.
