I have always had a strong interest in the human body and what better way than to get people moving through CrossFit!
- CrossFit Level 1
- Bachelor of Exercise Science
- Masters of Physiotherapy
I began coaching CrossFit in 2018 while I was studying my bachelor’s of exercise science. It was a way for me to apply my study into a practical environment and continue to progress my skills. Not long into the coaching role it became more than just a skill development but rather a passion.
After working alongside a spectrum of athletes it has given me the tools to help all levels of athletes achieve their fitness goals.
Alongside CrossFit coaching I work full-time as a physiotherapist with the goal of keeping my patients active through the initial phase of injury as we develop a long-term management plan. Outside of physiotherapy coaching, I am passionately working on my own training and progressions to not only better myself but the coaching for others.
I believe that technique and efficiency is key. Once the technique and movement efficiency is mastered then let’s go heavy!
But that is not what defines ‘fitness’ in a CrossFit environment. The lifting aspect is one portion, the rest is built through gymnastic ability, cardiovascular conditioning AND the combination of weightlifting.
