3RM Strength Testing - From April 29

Join us for a week of strength base-testing from April 29 to May 4.

Over the next 8 week programming block, you will be focusing on getting stronger in your key lifts, namely your .Back Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift.

The week of April 29 we will be testing your 3RMs within our strength sessions, which is the perfect way to set your foundations and measure your progress over our next 8 week training block.

Joining us for these sessions with ensure that you are testing in a safe, and supportive environment, supervised by our expert coaches so you can safely perform each lift to your strength capacity.

Mother's Day Walk

Join us on Sunday, May 12 from 7am for our first Function Well Mother’s Day walk, and help celebrate our incredible community of mums.

Pull on your trainers, grab your loved ones, puppies and prams and sign up.

Starting at the Boardwalk in front of Mica we’ll walk along the river towards Portside, turning around at Hamilton Park and heading back to refuel on some Mica breakfast and coffee.

Walk distance: approx. 5km return
Meet at Boardwalk 6:45am for an 7am start, and roughly a 8am finish.

Running Workshop with VALD & Club KT.

Is 2024 your year of running? Whether it’s a marathon, a 10km or the upcoming Hyrox event, this is one workshop you don’t want to miss.

Join Katie Dall (aka Club Katie), Coach Lew and experts from VALD to learn all about running technique, strength and biomechanics in this intensive two hour workshop.

Starting from 9am, you’ll be taken through strength and imbalance testing with the VALD experts in their Global HQ, to understand any asymmetry or strength challenges in your lower body and reduce your risk of running-related injuries.

Expert running coach Katie Dall, will then guide you through some biomechanical testing, to ensure you are moving safely and efficiently with your running style.

Suitable for all levels, this is a paid workshop for Function Well members and non members. More information will be released soon, but make sure you mark it in your calendar – Saturday, May 18.

Rooftop Meditation & Mental Health Fundraiser

Function Well & ZenleyB (Wesley Vasile) are teaming up to host a ZenleyB experience our Rooftstop Space on Thursday, May 30 at 5.30pm

What is ZenleyB?
Zenley B integrates yoga, breathwork & mediation to create a holistic experience for overall well-being. This event invites participants to explore their breath, move their bodies, and connect with their inner selves. Thoughtfully curated music enhances the experience to evoke emotions, deepen relaxation, and enhance the connection between breath, movement, and inner exploration.

If you’re keen to go deep this is your event! Participants may feel sensations of energy, emotional release, and heightened awareness. If you are interested in experiencing the power of breathwork this event is open to all level of practitioner from first time experience to those who have a regular breathwork practice.

Tickets
Tickets are available through a donation to the Mental Awareness Foundation. Donation is a$25.00 – your donation is your ticket to the event. If you would like to donate more, FW & Wesley will not stop you, we will simply thank you for your support.

Function Well Community Week

Our famous Community Week is Back! A week full of fun experiences, from challenges and product giveaways, to supporting our local businesses, it’s one week not to miss!

Community Week will begin Saturday, May 18 with your favourite – the Monster Metcon and continuing until the following Saturday, May 26 with CrossFit Community workout – Murph.
