This handstand workshop is for everyone!
From beginners looking to build strength and learn the basics to handstand lovers who want to learn progressions and techniques for developing their inversion practice.
We will start with drills and conditioning for both the strength and flexibility that are required for inversions, targeting the core, spine, shoulders, and hamstrings. We will look at different approaches, entry and exit transitions to move safely in and out of handstand to get you upside down (and help you stay there!) with more confidence and stability. More advanced progressions for handstand will be offered for practitioners already comfortable on their hands.
Once we are warmed up and have practiced the handstand techniques, Stacey will guide you through an intermediate level Vinyasa flow class including handstands (which can be done with modifications at your own pace) to overcome fear and play!
We will finish the session looking at techniques for strengthening and practicing safely headstand and other inversions.
