1. Drink plenty of water
Water is used by the body help transport and excrete toxins from the body. Drinking at least 3 litres a day during the summer will help your body to stay hydrated and help your kidneys excrete toxins.

2. Eat more protein
Quality protein (free range and hormone free) is an ideal source of amino acids for your body. Your liver can use amino acids to help excrete toxins through phase 2 detoxification, and then excrete them through your lower intestine.
One of the functions of fat cells is act as a store for toxins your body can’t execrete, so by eating adequate protein you’ll help support your liver to excrete toxins.
3. Eat green leafy veg
Lots of it. Cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, kale, cabbages, etc) will help your body to excrete excess oestrogen – great if you store fat around the thighs or chest – and also help support your kidneys in phase 3 detoxification by keeping your urine alkaline.

4. Eat regularly.
Aim to eat every 3-4 hours and around 5-6 times day. This will help keep your blood sugar constant and reduce the production of Cortisol (the stress hormone) that increases fat storage around the mid-section. It will also keep your metabolism high, perfect for turning your body into a fat burning machine.
5. Take fish oils
Every single cell in your body has a receptor site (think of it like a parking spot for hormones and substances to bind to and react with that cell) for Omega-3 fatty acids.
The benefits for you include reduced inflammation, increased mental acuity, improved mood and less cravings for sugary food as your blood sugar levels will be more stable throughout the day.
